Herb Butter Yak Steak

Rich and savory yak steaks are grilled to perfection and topped with a fragrant herb butter that melts over the meat, adding layers of garlic and fresh herb flavor. A gourmet twist on a rustic favorite.

Ingredients

  • 2 yak steaks (about 1 inch thick)
  • 2 tbsp butter softened
  • 1 tbsp clove garlic minced
  • 1 tbsp fresh parsley finely chopped
  • 1 tbsp fresh thyme finely chopped
  • 1 tbsp fresh rosemary finely chopped
  • 1 tbsp Salt and freshly ground black pepper

Instructions

  • 1. Preheat your grill or skillet over high heat.
    2. Season the yak steaks with salt and pepper on both sides.
    3. Grill the steaks for about 4-5 minutes per side for medium-rare, or until they reach your desired level of doneness.
    4. While the steaks are grilling, mix together the softened butter, minced garlic, parsley, thyme, and rosemary in a small bowl.
    5. Once the steaks are cooked, remove them from the heat and immediately top each steak with a dollop of the herb butter. Allow the steaks to rest for a few minutes before serving to let the butter melt and flavors meld.
