Delicious slow cooking family favorite! Mississippi Pot Roast is delicious served with mashed potatoes, rice, pasta, or vegetables like carrots, green beans, or broccoli. Slow Cooker
Ingredients
1Yak Arm OR Chuck Roast
Salt & Pepper OR Seasoning Salt
1PacketRanch Dressing Mix
1PacketDry Onion Soup Mix
1StickButter(Can add ½ stick more for extra flavor)
Pepperoncini Peppers
Instructions
Rinse your meat under water & pat dry
Sear the roast on both sides
Season your roast with salt & pepper OR seasoning salt on both sides
Place the roast in the slow cooker
Add 1 Packet of ranch dressing mix over the top of the roast
Add 1 Packet of dry onion soup mix over the top of the ranch dressing mix
Add 1 to 1½ sticks of butter on top of roast (Can also use garlic & herb butter)
Add Pepperoncini Peppers around the outside & top of the roast (if you want a bit of a kick of heat try adding a bit of juice from the peppers)
Slow cook for 8 HOURS - DO NOT open the lid while cooking as this will disrupt the cooking process
Take 2 forks and shred the meat into small pieces & cut off any fat
